*title* (2023)

*title* was written to represent NSW at the 2023 ASME national conference Young Composers Project and was premiered by Ensemble Offspring on 05.07.2023 at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. 

*title* is something that many of my score have on them in their earliest stages of creation. However, reflecting on the ASME's conference theme of music unleashed, I decided that this piece should be as free as possible from the composer-imposed meanings and imagery that a proper title can imprint onto a listener (sometimes these titles even can even precondition the listener as to what to expect!). I will not waste time talking about my infuences or the techniques that I have used in the creation of this work. Instead, I will let the music itself have its own effect on the listener, being as purely music as they can imagine.
